Look up at the sky, the heavens and marvel at the beauty of the Universe.

As humans, we stare, dream and long to touch and to hold.

From our Earthly base, we look up at the Universe in awe and just marvel at the might of the force that could have created it all.

We look up, see the stars twinkle and shine and we wish to be one of them. We then look down at our feet and the ground but finds nothing comparable to the astrological beauties above. In submission and admiration, we thus look up and long to belong up there.

Great things apparently come from above. Admittedly, the oceans, seas and mountains down here have their own greatness and grandeur, but nothing comparable to the wonders above. They are a mystery; a force beyond our imagination.

Similarly, we admire all those among us who excel in any endeavor and defy all the odds to achieve their dreams. They become our heroes and stars.

These are people who have followed their hearts and dreams. They have stretched themselves beyond limits to attain whatever they have set their minds on. They are people who have defied all the odds. Some of them have bore unbearable pain, sacrificed all they have got, in order to fulfill themselves, improve the human conditions, scale the heights and set new records or simply revolutionized our set of beliefs and concepts

These are the people who have left footprints and have made the world a better place.

All these stars and heroes are normally people whose achievements have superseded human imagination..They are people whose lives count and lead extra ordinary lives; their lives, names, work and influence go beyond the borders and confines of their native countries .They touch and beautify others’ lives.

Admittedly, they too emulated other great souls and spirits before them, whose lives and work were extra- ordinary.

These heroes shine in our midst as the stars above in the sky. We look up to them as role models, for inspiration and to set the pace .The youth imitate them but the old either admire them or bow their heads in shame wondering about what sets them so apart.

It is therefore important to look up, if you want to grow, discover yourself or simply to fulfill yourself .If you want to be a star then look up, soar and follow a star.

Demand nothing but the very best from yourself. Discover what you are made of, stretch yourself and spread your wings. Defy the odds and flesh in order to draw strength from the reservoirs of your inner self.

You are stronger and greater than your body would like to make you believe. Follow the stars and strive to be another star. Leave your footprints as you pass by.

If you want to achieve anything great and worthy in your field or for yourself, then look up and strive to reach and touch the stars.

It is only then, that you may discover why you are here, your place and role in the lives of all those around you and in the scheme of the Universe. May be only then, will you understand also why you must give your all and live your life to the fullest. As one author aptly puts it,

     ' If there is something great in you, it will not appear
      on your first call. It will not appear and come easily
      without any work and effort. '

Who knows, maybe your journey has just begun; so concludes another thinker,

     ' Only those who will risk going too far
       can possibly find out how far one can go. '

Therefore, look up! Dream, big dreams

Like all things unseen, the goal and dream lies in the future. The great things in you are yet to be accomplished. Some of those people, who have discovered, conquered and changed the face of this Earth at one time appeared so ordinary, until they decided to follow their dreams and became a star.

Listen,
you can be and do whatever you set your mind on.
Dare to believe that you too can.
