Do Things…Right Now

You are in a “tug of war” situation. You are on the horns of a dilemma. You wish to charge ahead to accomplish something. But when the time comes, you are held back. This is what is called procrastination. You decide to do something but when action is demanded from you, you put it off rather than do it.

Your motivation plays an important role here. There's a 'tug of war' playing out, deep down your heart that ascertains how motivated you are at any moment. This tug of war is between your "drive" or hope at one end, and your "resistance to action" at the other. These two pressures are always operating and changing, in your mind. When your drive is stronger than resistance, you are motivated to take action and you do it. If the resistance is stronger than the drive, then you will not act even if you would like to. That's the main reason why you procrastinate. You are NOT motivated enough to take the actions you want.

Remain motivated always to move into action. Follow these steps:

• Get propelled each day
• Crystallize your vision
• Fire your enthusiasm
• Put your best effort to depict the outcomes.
• Your mind should be enriched with positive energy
• Mount the impulse when you feel good
• Put an end to the strain, thwarting, and anxiety
• Upgrade self- confidence
• Set goals for yourself
• Refresh it each day
• The goals must be SMART. It must be specific, measurable, accessible, realistic, and targeted.
• Make a list of the rewards attainable.
• Focus on the rewards
• Improve your self-esteem. Come out of the shell of old redundant self limiting beliefs.
• Take the responsibility for all your actions.
• Make an ambitious plan that is realistic too.

These points will help you to remain motivated forever. Your brain prefers strong, compelling, emotional reasons to take action... that's what really gets its juices flowing. If you guessed that the strong, emotional reason is much more compelling to your brain than the purely logical reason, you're RIGHT. Those are the kinds of reasons you can use to really get yourself motivated to take the actions you want. If you can come up with more reasons to take action, and you make sure they are compelling, emotional reasons, you'll continue increasing your motivation even further.

But when the resistance power is too strong the above said plan will not work. In such cases find the reason why you put things off. Understand the reason and then find solution for it. This will make you march towards success.
